The iconic Young-hee has arrived in Malaysia in anticipation of the launch of Squid Game: Season 2 on Netflix on 26 December.
Towering at 22 feet tall at MRT Ampang Park’s Urban Skate Plaza, the larger-than-life doll stands ready to play ‘Red Light, Green Light’ with whoever dares take her on until 13 January 2025.
MRT Ampang Park Station was also the hive of activity between 20 and 22 December. Pink Guards from Squid Game were on patrol, traversing the area and taking photos with fans and commuters. Taking over the concourse were also interactive elements and photo opportunities, culminating in a ddakji challenge. More than 2,400 fans turned up to challenge the “Ddakji Man” over three days, where 1,000 players eventually bested him to win a limited edition Squid Game 2 Touch ‘n Go card each.
