Marking the group’s debut in the VR concert space, “RUSH ROAD” reflects the boundless momentum of youth. The concept follows a continuous journey into new worlds, offering audiences more than a traditional viewing experience, placing them within an immersive narrative alongside TWS.

The concert features a progression of distinct environments, beginning with a high-energy rock festival setting, transitioning to a rooftop bathed in golden sunset hues and culminating in a cinematic aurora sequence. These shifts in space and atmosphere are designed to flow seamlessly, creating a layered and immersive viewing experience. Notably, the production is set to deliver one of the longest runtimes seen in a VR concert to date.

TWS’s popular tracks, including “OVERDRIVE” and “plot twist”, are reimagined for the VR format, offering audiences a fresh perspective on familiar performances.

Powered by AMAZE VR’s proprietary technology, RUSH ROAD features spatial staging, refined camera work and immersive sound design to enhance realism and depth. As anticipation builds across Asia, Kim Jae-joong is set to bring his deeply personal concert experience, “GALAXY 1986”, to fans once again — with Singapore as one of the upcoming stops on the tour.

Ahead of his return, we had the opportunity to connect with Jae-joong through an exclusive email interview, where he shared heartfelt insights about the meaning behind the tour, his journey through the years, and what fans can look forward to in this next chapter.

1. The concert is called GALAXY 1986. We know you were born in 1986, but why “Galaxy”? What does it represent?

Through the long time we have spent together, I wanted to convey my sincerity and gratitude, and I hope this can be a moment that brings out the shared emotions we hold deep in our hearts.

As for the title GALAXY, I believe the meaning behind it will be well conveyed through the performance itself. To me, it represents how we each have our own strength and gravity, and because of that, we revolve around one another even in the future. And within that journey of revolving together are all the memories, stories, and moments we have shared. I chose this title with the hope that this concert would be a chance to look back on those memories, reminisce about our journey, and look forward to what lies ahead.

2. This will be your first solo concert in Singapore, and it’s happening on 28 March 2026. How does it feel to finally meet Singapore fans?

Since it has been such a long time since my last visit, I feel very sorry for the Singapore fans who have been waiting. Through this opportunity, I will do my very best to create just as many precious memories together.

3. Is there anything you would especially like to try or any food you’re looking forward to when you visit Singapore?

First of all, Singapore has so many amazing buildings. From what I know, there are almost no buildings with overlapping designs, so I think just looking at the city itself would be very impressive from both an artistic and aesthetic point of view. I feel like even the simple moments of moving around the city by car would be enjoyable.

I also imagine that Singapore has many local neighborhoods, and I would love to take a little trip to explore those areas if I get the chance.

4. After celebrating your 20th anniversary and now stepping into your 23rd year, how does it feel to look back at everything you’ve achieved? What’s the difference between Kim Jae Joong now vs the Kim Jae Joong in the earlier chapters of your career?

In the past, I think I used to make music which wears colors that someone else created for me. But now, it feels very different because the world we build together with my fans, along with the spontaneous leaps forward we make, is overflowing. However, even within that, there is still the pressure that I must continue to grow, so in that sense, living with a constant sense of tension hasn’t really changed.

5. We’re curious if there are any messages you would like to convey through your music this year, or through the music you are currently working on.

I’m currently working hard to present new songs again this year. Compared to last year, I’m deeply thinking carefully about how to bring a different kind of freshness while delivering my own values and messages through the music. I believe that when you experience the works that will be released this year, you’ll feel a kind of freshness that you may not have felt before.

6. You’ve been performing on stage for a long time. What kind of preparation or efforts are you making to continue standing on stage for many years to come?

After being active for such a long time, I’ve realized how important it is to take care of both my health and my mental well-being. I believe that if I lose these two things, it would be like losing everything. That’s why I’m doing my best to take good care of both my body and my mind.

7. Final words to fans around the world.

I believe I’ve been able to walk this path for the past 23 years thanks to all the fans who have stayed with me and supported me with their hearts. I will continue to do my very best to share even deeper and longer moments with you in the future. I love you!
