tvN's ongoing mystery-thriller Korean drama 'Mouse' has everyone on the edge of their seats! The drama revolves around Jeong Ba-reum (starring Lee Seung-gi), a steadfast police officer whose life changes when he encounters a psychopathic serial killer. This drives him and his partner Go Moo-chi (starring Lee Hee-joon) to unearth the truth behind psychopathic behaviours.

In an interview, the main cast Lee Seung Gi, Lee Hee-Joon, Park Joo-Hyun and Kyung Soo-jin talked about their characters in the drama.

Talking about why they take up the role, Lee Seung Gi shared that the drama script is very well written and so he decided to do it. "It is meticulously written and very sophisticated along with the different possibilities that are plausible to the end, this made me feel that the script was very well written and so, I decided to do this drama." Lee Hee-jun agreed and added Lee Seung Gi the reason why he take up the role. "I was also very impressed by the meticulous script. Because Lee Seung-gi said that he would do it, that’s why I decided to do this drama."

Park Joo-Hyun continued, "My senior actors are actors that I have really wanted to work with for a long time, and the script was very good. I finished reading the script in a single sitting. I thought to myself, I would be thankful to be able to participate in the filming of such a great production."

Kyung Soo-Jin added, "As my fellow actors mentioned earlier, the well-written script was a factor. I had also worked with Director Choi Jun-bae in a different production, "Come and Hug Me". That was also a very detailed production. Therefore, I trusted that the well-written script would be very well executed and decided to do this drama."

When being asked about the atmosphere when filming on set, Lee Hee Jun shared that, "We became close and it was very enjoyable, but because we started filming in the very cold winter, we were even rained on in the bitter cold. There were those kinds of days." 

Lee Seung Gi then added, "Because the drama starts in fall, we were dressed in fall fashion. Winter has now passed and we have missed the period where we can dress warmly on set, because spring has come and we have to work hard while wearing thinner clothes. Among us, it was very fun. This winter was especially cold, last year was quite warm, because this winter was especially cold and we shot many scenes in the bitter cold, I feel we encouraged each other more during filming."

Park Joo Hyun: I think that it’s a meeting between a very well-written script and a very meticulous director, and that meeting has produced this final product. I think it will be as exciting as we have mentioned, so I hope that you will watch it!

A stellar cast of seasoned acting greats and fresh rising stars has been assembled for Netflix upcoming webtoon based drama, 'Navillera' which is set to release on 22 March. Directed by Han Dong-hwa, the 12-episode drama talks about Deok-Chul, a retired postman who seeks to fulfil his lifelong dream of becoming a ballet dancer at the age of 70 and Chae-rok, a young man who has a unique talent for ballet but realizes his talent fairly late compared to his peers. Chae-rok’s life unexpectedly changes as he becomes a ballet mentor to the 70-year-old grandpa.

Earlier today, director Han Dong-hwa and the main cast Park In-Hwan, Na Moon-Hee, Song Kang and Hong Seung Hee caught up with the press and talked about the highly acclaimed webtoon drama, 'Navillera'. 

Q: Tell us more about the drama.

Q: Tell us about your characters in Navillera.

Park In-Hwan: I play the role of a man who dares to follow his dream at the age of 70. I saw the original webtoon and it was extremely entertaining and very inspiring. 

Song Kang: I think my character, Chae-rok, has a pure and warm heart but people may misunderstand him because of his reserved personality. In that sense we share some similarities because I also feel like I’m like that. Meeting Deok-chul really brings out Chae-rok’s big heart and amplifies it. 

Na Moon-Hee: When I first read the webtoon, I didn’t think the wife had a large role. However, after deciding to take on this role, I saw that Deok-chul is able to chase after his dreams because his wife is by his side. Hae-nam is very considerate of her husband and children. As I’m in the later years of my life, I think you have to rely on your partner a lot.

Song Kang: Before shooting, I learned ballet for 5-6 months. The moves were very technical and tricky, so I focused on my body’s movements and emotional expressions. It was my first time doing ballet, and I enjoyed the process of my body transforming.

Park In-Hwan: It was much more difficult than I had expected. It required a lot of effort. Before we began shooting, we met twice a week for lessons. It was especially difficult for me because I’m less flexible, and flexibility and graceful movements are important for ballet. Our goal wasn’t to become a professional ballerino but rather to show that you can take on any challenge. It’s very difficult to become a professional at this age. The leotard is very uncomfortable and tight, but you have to wear it for ballet. With each passing day, you get used to it. 

Song Kang: Rather than giving me advice, he gave me a lot of support and told me to do my best. Since it was my first time, I was really worried about whether I could pull it off, but I think I did well so I would like to give myself a pat on the back.

Park In-Hwan: Song Kang and I filmed together the most from the beginning. In the beginning, I noticed some things that he could do better in, and I noticed he immediately absorbs things and works to make improvements. I know that some younger actors don’t like hearing advice, so I usually don’t say anything to young actors I work with but Song Kang is different. He immediately absorbs it. He’s a different level of an actor compared between his first and last scenes. He really grew as an actor.

Na Moon-Hee: Young people today are extremely talented, and I only had a lot to learn from them.

Q: How many marks would you give to your on-screen chemistry with one another?

Song Kang: I would give our chemistry 100 out of 100. As I mentioned earlier, I was very worried at first but Park In-Hwan really guided me and I just had to depend on him.

Park In-Hwan: I have to give 100 points since he did. He’s very kind and warm-hearted. My first impression of him was a young and innocent boy. I could see him change and grow as an actor. As I said earlier, he absorbs everything and makes it his own so I think he will grow to become a great actor.

Multi-talented boy group PENTAGON returns with 'DO or NOT', the title track from their 11th mini album 'LOVE or TAKE'. Unlike previous concept, this time the album is surrounded by the theme of love - lively and colourful. From the teasers to concept images, the boys show their fresh and enthralling side which is different from what they have presented before. Although JINHO and HUI are currently taking their enlistment hiatus, but you can still hear Hui's voice for this comeback as he took part in filming the music video of the title track and also album production prior to his military enlistment last month. 

Ahead of their release yesterday evening, PENTAGON sat down with the press and talked about their album and music at the online media showcase.

When being asked about promoting as 7 member for the first time after Hui's enlistment, WOOSEOK said, "Honestly I still feel kinda awkward without HUI by our side. I'm still getting used to it and I'll try to make myself feel more comfortable through this promotion." YEOONE added "Through this promotion, I hope the public including HUI and JINHO will feel at ease when they see our performances and think we're too good and there's nothing to be worried of. We will work harder so that HUI and JINHO will be proud of us." 

Talked about how they build teamwork again with members' having enlistment hiatus, SHINWON replied, "The moments we could really feel their absence is during team meetings and practices. We used to feel that the practice room is very crowded when we practiced, but now there's only seven of us, somewhat it feels empty. Since the eldest member and the leader are not with us right now so we feel like lacking a shoulder to lean on. But this won't make us weak. We'll create a stronger bond and assure that when they returned, the group is still strong." The members even showed us the team rings they were wearing at the showcase, proving their close relationship with one another. From here, we know PENTAGON is growing stronger as team!

When being asked about the memorable moments when producing the albums, WOOSEOK said, "I lost slept for two months to work on the title track and the B-sides. The rest of the members dedicated so much too. When I was most tired, the members will come to the studio and i'll turn on a random beat and we'll do ciphers together. Each of us then had 10 to 15minutes to write the lyrics and record it. This really helped to release stress." YANAN added, "I think the bright and refreshing concept of 'DO or NOT' is perfect for us. We're able to show each of our charms through our performances. It's our 11th mini album, so 110 points."

Lastly, talking about their goal after winning 1st on music show. SHINWON commented, "We actually have many goals. This is our fifth year together, but our goal is to keep going for a long time with the same refreshing energy that makes five years seem like no time at all."
