The Waterbomb Festival Singapore made a splash, both literally and figuratively, on August 23, as thousands flocked to the first day of this two-day music extravaganza. Renowned for its unique concept of soaking both the audience and performers, the festival offered an unforgettable experience filled with electrifying performances and an atmosphere brimming with excitement.

Kid Milli: Kicking Off with a Bang

At around 5 PM, the stage was set ablaze by the talented rapper Kid Milli. Donning a stylish full black outfit, he brought his signature energy to the stage with "IndiGO." The crowd, already buzzing with anticipation, erupted into cheers as the beat dropped. He followed up with the edgy "WHY DO FUCKBOIS HANG OUT ON THE NET," where the audience resonated with the rebellious lyrics, shouting along. 

KWON EUN BI: A Beautiful Night Indeed

KWON EUN BI graced the stage with elegance, wearing a shimmering black outfit that caught the light with every move. Her performance of "Door" was enchanting, captivating the audience with her powerful vocals. The transition into "Beautiful Night" was seamless, with the crowd swaying to the melody, creating a moment of unity under the streams of water. She ended her set with "Underwater," a fitting song for the festival, leaving everyone in awe of her stage presence.

VIVIZ: A Trio of Talent

VIVIZ, the girl group sensation, brought a burst of energy with their set. They performed "Pull Up" with synchronized choreography that had the crowd dancing along.  "LOVE LOVE LOVE" was a fan favorite, with the audience singing every word. They also performed to "MANIAC," showcasing their versatility and leaving the crowd cheering for more.

Sandara Park: A Nostalgic Journey

Sandara Park took the audience on a nostalgic trip with a mix of her solo hits and 2NE1 classics. Dressed in a chic, edgy outfit, she started with "FESTIVAL," instantly setting a lively tone. "DARA DARA" had the crowd jumping, but it was when she transitioned into 2NE1’s hits like "Do You Love Me," "Falling In Love," and "I Love You" that the nostalgia hit hard. The crowd's reaction to "Ugly" and "I Am The Best" was nothing short of explosive, proving the lasting impact of 2NE1's music.

JESSI: The Queen of the Stage

JJESSI took the stage by storm, exuding confidence in a super sexy outfit that perfectly matched her bold persona. Right from the start, she connected with the crowd on a deeper level, using explicit language and keeping it real in a way only JESSI can. She kicked off with the crowd-favorite "Zoom," where the audience mirrored her every move. The energy only escalated when she performed "NUNANUNA," with the crowd chanting along, captivated by her bold stage presence. JESSI's performance was a highlight of the night, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. Between songs, JESSI didn't hold back, sharing candid thoughts and unfiltered opinions that made the crowd love her even more.

RAIN: A Timeless Performance

As the night progressed, RAIN took to the stage as the second last K-pop act, and he did not disappoint. RAIN removed his shirt, showcasing his sculpted physique and perfect dance moves, he had the crowd on their feet with "Rainism," his iconic hit from 2008. In a moment that sent the crowd into a frenzy, reminding everyone why he’s still one of the most beloved performers in K-pop.

Jay Park: The Grand Finale

The most anticipated act of the night, Jay Park, closed out Day 1 with an unforgettable performance. Jay Park, initially dressed in a casual outfit, eventually removed his top, much to the crowd's delight, flaunting his sexy physique and charm. His performance was the perfect finale to an exhilarating day, leaving fans eagerly awaiting Day 2. Jay Park also performed to "Mommae," instantly hyping up the crowd. "Iffy" had the audience grooving, and when he performed "RSVP," the energy reached its peak.

Adding to the fun, Jay Park took the effort to pronounce local phrases like "Bo Beh Zao" and "Shiok," causing the audience to burst into laughter. His ability to connect with the crowd through these little moments made his performance even more memorable. Jay Park’s set was the perfect finale to an exhilarating day, leaving fans eagerly awaiting Day 2.

Following the high-energy thrills of Day 1, Waterbomb Festival Singapore’s Day 2 took the excitement to even greater heights. With an impressive lineup of artists, dynamic performances, and the crowd fully embracing the wet and wild theme, Day 2 was an exhilarating conclusion to the festival.

SORN: A CLC Reunion Moment

SORN dressed in a sexy and edgy outfit  performed "Sharp Objects," showcasing her powerful vocals and stage presence. The crowd was thrilled when she invited fellow CLC member Seungyeon on stage, creating a special reunion moment. Together, they delivered an energetic performance of "Rowdy," and SORN finished her set with the catchy "Nirvana Girl," leaving the audience buzzing with excitement.

TEAM BEBE: Dance Extravaganza

TEAM BEBE brought a surge of energy with their super cool dance performances. Clad in coordinated outfits that emphasized their sharp moves, they took the stage by storm with Stray Kids'Maniac Saturday Drip, delivering precise and powerful choreography. The crowd was in awe as they seamlessly transitioned into NCT Dream's Saturday Drip" and RIIZE's Boom Boom Bass. They concluded with their signature dance routines of "HEY MAMA" and "SMOKE", leaving the audience cheering for more.

CHUNG HA: A Roller Coaster of Emotions

CHUNG HA, a former member of the project girl group I.O.I, captivated the audience with her solo set. She opened with "I'm Ready," instantly connecting with the crowd through her emotive performance. The energy shifted into high gear with "Roller Coaster," as the audience danced along to the infectious beat. She closed her set with "Gotta Go (벌써 12시)," showcasing her versatility and leaving the crowd completely mesmerized.

BAMBAM: A Visual and Musical Spectacle

BAMBAM took the stage in a visually striking outfit, featuring body paint that added a unique flair to his performance. He opened with "Thank You, Come Again," immediately engaging the crowd. As he moved into "Ribbon," BAMBAM began to remove his outfit, revealing his physique to the delight of the audience. He also performed to "Last Parade," a performance that showcased his dynamic stage presence. The crowd went wild when he performed to his group GOT7’s hit "Hard Carry," proving that his connection with his fans remains as strong as ever.

BIBI: The Queen of Charisma

BIBI, known for her unique style and charismatic personality, owned the stage with her smooth, catchy tunes. She began her set with "Cigarette and Condom," captivating the audience. "Sugar Rush" and "BIBI Vengeance" followed, with the crowd grooving to the infectious beats. BIBI's performance of "Bam Yang Gang" stood out as a highlight, with her sultry vocals pouring through every line.

LOCO: Heating Up the Night

LOCO brought the heat with his set,  one of the songs he performed high-energy track "TTFU." His effortless flow and undeniable charisma had the crowd rapping along. When he transitioned into "No Manners," the atmosphere reached a fever pitch. Midway through the performance, LOCO removed his shirt, showcasing his physique and sending the crowd into a frenzy. His connection with the audience was palpable, as they sang along with him, making it a truly interactive and unforgettable experience.

CL: The Baddest Female Grand Finale

The final act of the night was none other than CL, the baddest female alive and a member of the legendary group 2NE1. Making an entrance in a long coat and shades, CL exuded confidence and power as she took the stage. She began with her solo hit "Spicy," followed by the crowd-pleasing "DR PEPPER." With each song, she proved why she’s a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

CL’s performance was a tour de force, with the crowd going wild for her iconic hits "The Baddest Female" and 2NE1’s hits like "Fire," "I Don’t Care," and "I Am The Best." She ended her set with the explosive "Hello Bitches," leaving the crowd in awe and ensuring that Day 2 of Waterbomb Festival Singapore ended on an unforgettable high note. 

Waterbomb Festival Singapore 2024’s Day 2 was nothing short of spectacular. From dynamic performances and jaw-dropping visuals to the undeniable connection between artists and fans, the festival delivered on every level. With two days of unforgettable music, soaked fun, and electrifying energy, Waterbomb Singapore has cemented its place as one of the most anticipated events of the year.

It was pure electric energy and raw emotion at the power of a thousand fans conveying in all shades of preppy summer denim and music festival neon glitter faces at Zepp KL to celebrate South East Asia’s beloved heartthrob and Kpop sensation – singer, song-writer and producer, BANG YE-DAM. Greeted by unified screams that bounced off the packed auditorium walls with repeated encores for more, Ye- dam delivered one hit after another, singing his originals as well as popular covers, interacting with the media and fans like a true seasoned professional despite his young years. The star was at ease and in good vibes spirits stepping off-stage a couple of times to mingle with his fans, pose for selfies, shake hands without breaking a note mid-song and taking the energy of his screaming fans to stage, all in the same stride. Fans simply couldn’t have enough of him!The evening kicked off with a high-octane solo performance of some of Ye-dam’s biggest hits and ballads like `Miss You,’ `Only You,’ `Hate That I Love You,’ which also included the star’s most popular `Come to Me’ (from the debut EP `Only One’/2023) which turned into an anthem for the entire evening, sending the crowd into a frenzy from the very first note. The young star showcased his vocal prowess and undeniable stage presence, captivating the audience with a mix of energetic dance tracks, heartfelt ballads and fan-centric on-stage interactive games that resonated deeply with his audiences.One of the highlights of the fan meet was a special Media Q&A session which also included on-stage autograph interactions for lucky VIP fans who had the chance to meet Ye-dam personally. The star’s candid and playful interactions combined with his sincere gratitude for the unwavering support, left the audience cheering and emotional in equal measure. Ye-dam shared he never imagined his life doing anything else but “as a singer doing what I love most - music. I like to capture and deliver emotions to my fans the same way I feel them whilst writing or singing my songs. My music is all about good vibes. I’m grateful that I have good mentors around me who also ensure my well-being as an artist,” Ye-dam shared candidly during the Q&A.As a special surprise, Bang Ye-dam performed an impromptu Malay track exclusive for his Kuala Lumpur fans, showcasing his continued evolution as an artist. The star himself also received a surprise onstage while being presented with a satin sky blue `Baju Melayu,’ as a token to remember that Malaysia loves the Kpop star. The crowd erupted in applause with many fans expressing their excitement on social media, making #BangYeDam trend across multiple platforms.The event reached its emotional peak during the encore, where Ye-dam expressed his heartfelt thanks to the fans from Malaysia and those who travelled far and wide to attend. He shared his deep appreciation for their loyalty and promised to return to Southeast Asia soon, to even louder encores and applause. This unforgettable evening in Kuala Lumpur marks a significant milestone in Bang Ye-dam’s career as he continues to make his mark on the global stage.
