PUMA celebrates the debut of Netflix award winning series Squid Game, through a collaboration featuring apparel, footwear, and accessories, just in time for the show’s second season. The iconic T7 Track Jacket (SGD129) and T7 Track Pants (SGD109)are remade with a custom staircase-inspired pattern containing hidden PUMA logos. Referencing the teal-green uniforms worn by the contestants of the secret and deadly contest, the tracksuits’ velour makeup is complimented by custom hangtags and co-branded chest labels. 

Prime Video announced today that the Korean series Newtopia will be coming to the service. Top stars Park Jeong-min and Blackpink’s Jisoo will be leading the highly anticipated zombie apocalypse series. The story centres on Lee Jae-yoon (Park Jeong-min), who is serving his compulsory military service, and his girlfriend Kang Young-joo (Jisoo), as they race to be reunited in zombie-infested Seoul. Prime Video customers in Malaysia and more than 240 countries and territories, excluding Korea, can watch episodes of Newtopia on February 7, 2025. Having started his mandatory military conscription at a later age, Jae-yoon faces anxiety about his future. Due to challenges from being apart from his girlfriend Young-joo, they have a sudden break-up after an argument. However, a zombie outbreak spreads across the city, forcing Jae-yoon to step up as leader of his squad. Meanwhile, Young-joo experiences her own difficulties as a rookie in the workforce. She is frustrated with Jae-yoon due to him misunderstanding her heart. While on her way to see him, she witnesses the zombie rampage and adapts in order to survive. The first look stills foreshadow a dynamic story encompassing happy times between the couple as well as the world thrown into chaos by zombie attacks. Thinking of each other first as boyfriend and girlfriend, the pair run across a zombie-laid city to be together again.Award-winning actor Park Jeong-min is known for his versatility and impressive acting range. After debuting through the acclaimed film Bleak Night in 2011, he has acted in numerous films and series. Amongst his many awards, he won the Best New Actor Award for his role in Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet from both the Baeksang Arts Awards and the Blue Dragon Film Awards. He also received the Best Supporting Actor Award for his acting in Deliver Us From Evil from both of the aforementioned prestigious awards shows.

Next year the stars of Hollywood and Korea collide in Tempest - an eagerly anticipated spy thriller set to launch exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.

Just moments ago, Disney+ Hotstar announced that an extended lineup of US stars would be joining Korean icons Gang Dongwon and Jun Ji-hyun in the upcoming series, including: John Cho as the US Assistant Secretary of State; Michael Gaston as the Secretary of Defense; Spenser Garrett as US President Hauser; Christopher Gorham as a military contractor, as well as Joel De La Fuente; Alicia Hannah Kim, Brooke Smith; Jacob Bertrand; Romy Rosemont; Tom Lenk, and more.

Set in modern-day Korea, Tempest follows Munju, a highly accomplished diplomat and former ambassador to the United Nations, and Sanho, an international special agent, as they race to uncover the truth behind an attack that threatens the future stability of the Korean peninsula.

As well as the today’s newly confirmed cast, Tempest will feature the eagerly anticipated on-screen partnership of two of Korea’s most accomplished actors - executive producer Gang Dongwon as Sanho, an enigmatic agent shrouded in a veil of secrets, and Jun Gianna as Seo Munju, a career diplomat who turns her razor sharp intellect to uncovering the source of a lethal attack. Tempest is directed by Kim Heewon (Queen of Tears, Little Women, Vincenzo) co-directed by Korea’s leading martial arts director Heo Myunghaeng (The Outlaws 4), and is written by Chung Seokyung (Decision to Leave, The Handmaiden, Little Women).

Tempest is one of the upcoming Korean series featured at the recent 2024 Disney Content Showcase, alongside newly announced The Murky Stream starring Rowoon, Shin Yeeun, Park Seoham and Park Jihwan; and The Manipulated starring Ji Changwook, Doh Kyungsoo, Lee Kwangsoo and Jo Yoonsu. In 2025 Disney+ Hotstar will debut an incredible range of titles, spanning a vast array of genres. In January, audiences will witness the Disney+ Hotstar debut of Kim Hyesoo in Unmasked, followed by Park Eunbin and Sul Kyunggu in Hyper Knife in March. As the year continues audiences will get to see more of Korea’s biggest stars feature in unmissable stories  including Kim Dami and Son Sukku in Nine Puzzles; Kim Soohyun and Cho Boah in Knock-Off; Ryu Seungryong, Yang Sejong and Lim Soojung in Low Life and so much more.

BTS global popstar Jung Kook has returned with his brand-new three-part docuseries 'JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL' THE ORIGINAL now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Filmed over an eight-month period, the newly released docuseries follows Jung Kook as he transitions from a member of 21st century pop icons BTS into a successful solo artist in his own right. Netflix’s new K-drama The Trunk held a highly anticipated press conference last Tuesday, with its stellar cast and director discussing their roles and the unique elements of the series. Present at the event were Gong Yoo, Seo Hyun-jin, Jung Yun-ha, Jo Yi-geon, Kim Dong-won, and director Kim Kyu-tae. Together, they unveiled insights into their characters and the compelling storylines that shape the show.

The Trunk, directed by Kim Kyu-tae (It’s Okay, That’s Love and Our Blues), is based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Kim Ryeo-ryeong. The story delves into the complexities of love, loss, and healing through a mysterious and poignant lens. Set against the backdrop of NM, a company specializing in fixed-term contract marriages, the drama unravels when a mysterious trunk is discovered in a lake during the fifth contractual marriage of Jung-won (starring Gong Yoo) and In-ji (starring Seo Hyun-jin).

Gong Yoo plays Jung-won, a music producer whose life has been marked by emotional voids and lingering trauma. “This drama takes a different approach to discussing love and relationships. Its storyline can be interpreted differently based on perspective, which attracted me. It was also a great opportunity to act alongside Seo Hyun-jin.” Gong Yoo shared. 

Seo Hyun-jin portrays Noh In-ji, an employee at NM who, despite her aversion to marriage, has completed four contractual assignments. “In-ji is a challenging character because the script provides minimal direction, leaving her personality open to interpretation,” Seo explained.

Director Kim Kyu-tae showered praise on Gong Yoo, admiring his immersive and natural acting style. “He is an actor who enjoys himself on set and completely immerses himself in his character. His tone is so real, not excessive, and that’s why he’s Gong Yoo,” he remarked.

The director was equally impressed with Seo Hyun-jin, acknowledging her dedication and ability to bring depth to her role. “In-ji is a complex character with dualistic actions and psychology. Seo Hyun-jin added dimensions to her character that were not in the script. Her work ethic and energy amazed me.” The director further commented the main cast chemistry on set, "Their connection on set exceeded expectations. They were considerate and supportive of each other, creating a harmony that made them a lovely couple both on and off the screen.”

The drama also introduces intriguing supporting roles that add layers to the narrative. Jung Yun-ha plays Seo-yeon, Jung-won’s ex-wife, whose manipulative tendencies create tension. Jo Yi-geon portrays Seo-yeon’s current husband, Yoon Ji-o, while Kim Dong-won’s mysterious character as Eom Tae-seong hovers around In-ji, adding an air of suspense.

Fans of The Trunk are drawn to its mix of romance, psychological drama, and mystery. The poignant romance between Jung-won and In-ji, as they navigate sorrow and loneliness, leads to a narrative of healing and redemption. Meanwhile, the unfolding mystery surrounding the trunk ties together secretive marriages, hidden desires, and complex relationships. The fans  couldn’t help but marvel at the pair's on-screen chemistry, with their two-shot moments fueling excitement for the show.
