Waterbomb Singapore 2024 Day 1: A Drenched Spectacle of Music and Fun

Renowned for its unique concept of soaking both the audience and performers, the festival offered an unforgettable experience filled with electrifying performances and an atmosphere brimming with excitement.
Kid Milli: Kicking Off with a Bang
At around 5 PM, the stage was set ablaze by the talented rapper Kid Milli. Donning a stylish full black outfit, he brought his signature energy to the stage with "IndiGO." The crowd, already buzzing with anticipation, erupted into cheers as the beat dropped. He followed up with the edgy "WHY DO FUCKBOIS HANG OUT ON THE NET," where the audience resonated with the rebellious lyrics, shouting along.
KWON EUN BI: A Beautiful Night Indeed
KWON EUN BI graced the stage with elegance, wearing a shimmering black outfit that caught the light with every move. Her performance of "Door" was enchanting, captivating the audience with her powerful vocals. The transition into "Beautiful Night" was seamless, with the crowd swaying to the melody, creating a moment of unity under the streams of water. She ended her set with "Underwater," a fitting song for the festival, leaving everyone in awe of her stage presence.
VIVIZ: A Trio of Talent
VIVIZ, the girl group sensation, brought a burst of energy with their set. They performed "Pull Up" with synchronized choreography that had the crowd dancing along. "LOVE LOVE LOVE" was a fan favorite, with the audience singing every word. They also performed to "MANIAC," showcasing their versatility and leaving the crowd cheering for more.
Sandara Park: A Nostalgic Journey
Sandara Park took the audience on a nostalgic trip with a mix of her solo hits and 2NE1 classics. Dressed in a chic, edgy outfit, she started with "FESTIVAL," instantly setting a lively tone. "DARA DARA" had the crowd jumping, but it was when she transitioned into 2NE1’s hits like "Do You Love Me," "Falling In Love," and "I Love You" that the nostalgia hit hard. JJESSI took the stage by storm, exuding confidence in a super sexy outfit that perfectly matched her bold persona. Right from the start, she connected with the crowd on a deeper level, using explicit language and keeping it real in a way only JESSI can. She kicked off with the crowd-favorite "Zoom," where the audience mirrored her every move. The energy only escalated when she performed "NUNANUNA," with the crowd chanting along, captivated by her bold stage presence. As the night progressed, RAIN took to the stage as the second last K-pop act, and he did not disappoint. RAIN removed his shirt, showcasing his sculpted physique and perfect dance moves, he had the crowd on their feet with "Rainism," his iconic hit from 2008. In a moment that sent the crowd into a frenzy, reminding everyone why he’s still one of the most beloved performers in K-pop.
Jay Park: The Grand Finale
The most anticipated act of the night, Jay Park, closed out Day 1 with an unforgettable performance. Jay Park, initially dressed in a casual outfit, eventually removed his top, much to the crowd's delight, flaunting his sexy physique and charm. His performance was the perfect finale to an exhilarating day, leaving fans eagerly awaiting Day 2. Jay Park also performed to "Mommae," instantly hyping up the crowd. "Iffy" had the audience grooving, and when he performed "RSVP," the energy reached its peak.
Adding to the fun, Jay Park took the effort to pronounce local phrases like "Bo Beh Zao" and "Shiok," causing the audience to burst into laughter.
