Monday, July 01, 2024

The boys of NCT Dream are back in Singapore for <THE DREAM SHOW 3 : DREAM()SCAPE>! On 29 – 30 June 2024, NCTzens, the fandom’s name, could be seen in mostly neon green as they excitedly bustled into Singapore Indoor Stadium. Members Mark, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jaemin and Jisung gifted fans a weekend filled with spectacular performances!

Member Renjun is currently on hiatus, and is unable to participate in the tour.

NCT Dream kickstarted the show with an all-time high with songs like ‘BOX’, ‘119’, ‘SOS’ and ‘GO’. Jaemin and Jeno weren’t afraid to show some skin, as they wore outfits that revealed their chiseled cores.

After showcasing their sexy and mysterious auras, NCT Dream was ready to greet Singapore NCTzens.

Mark: “Who’s seeing NCT Dream for the first time?

Jeno (replying to fans raising hands): “Nice to meet you!

During Jisung’s introduction, Jaemin hilariously cuts in, “Jisung, I don’t want to bother you, but I forgot something… my name is Jaemin!” His interruption sent fans into a burst of laughter.

Safety is the most important! Especially the fans closest to us (referring to the standing pens). Raise your hands if you need help,” caring Haechan also showed concern for fans.

Sadly I couldn’t be here last year, so I’ll work twice as hard tonight to make up for it!” Chenle expressed.

The boys then continued the show with ‘Poison’ and ‘Drippin’.

After the first VCR, Dreamies (an affectionate term for the members) returned to the stage in uniforms. They performed cute numbers like ‘Arcade’, ‘We Go Up’ and ‘Bungee’, which were reminiscent of their earlier days.

For the second ment, Mark asked fans a question that they’ve been asking at their tour stops:

Do you like NCT Dream when we’re at our cutest, or sexiest? Seems like these days we get a lot of sexy~

Some members even did their personalized versions of sexy!

Before heading backstage for a change of outfits, they took things slower with a couple of ballads - ‘Walk With You’, ‘Never Goodbye’, ‘Breathing’ and ‘Unknown’.

The next segment was somewhat food-themed consisting of titles like ‘Tangerine Love’, ‘Yoghurt Shake’, and ‘Pretzel’. Of course, NCT Dream can’t miss out the viral hit that brought their popularity to the next level - ‘Candy’! Coupled with their most colourful outfits, this performance arguably gathered the loudest cheers from NCTzens.

I see a lot of you dancing and having fun! But this is just the beginning,” Mark spoke. He also praised that Singapore had the best ‘NCTzen Wave’, complete with a local expression ‘swee la’!

Also changing their outerwear onstage, Dreamies sent fans screaming whenever the screen focused on their arms.

You guys are making this more than what it is…” Mark commented bashfully.

The party showed no signs of slowing down - NCT Dream slid into the next round with an impressive continuous medley: ‘Dream Run’, ‘Better Than Gold’, ‘Fireflies’, ‘Hello Future’ and ‘Broken Melodies’. Actively moving around the stage to interact with fans while performing, the members proved their stamina and experience as an almost 8-year group in the industry.

Following their final VCR, the boys once again rocked the stage with ‘Skateboard’, ‘ISTJ’ and their latest comeback, ‘Smoothie’. Fan slogans were then featured on screen, ranging from witty to sweet ones that included Renjun.

The members then appeared onstage for what seems to be a classic encore; decked in merch tees and cartoon headbands. With Jisung and Haechan even in cute robes, they continued embodying the youthful concept that they do best with ‘Dive Into You’ and ‘ANL’.

Jeno: “Thank you so much for jumping around and having fun with us!”

Haechan: “We’ll be back as a 7 next time!

Mark: “You guys proved a point tonight. I really enjoy chilli crab in Singapore… but it cannot be my favourite, because you guys are.”

Mark’s saccharine words melted all the hearts of Singapore NCTzens!

Dreamies rounded up the night with ‘Like We Just Met’.

Throughout the 3-hour show, the S.M Entertainment group left fans thoroughly immersed, never leaving a bored moment. Even during VCRs, NCTzens were kept entertained with lightsticks changing colours according to what the scenes were depicting. Their voices of awe could be heard whenever the lightsticks lit up. Bringing fans through an engaging storyline and various concepts, <THE DREAM SHOW 3> has perfectly illustrated NCT Dream’s growing years.

We’d like to express our thanks to Live Nation Singapore for the invitation.
