After 1.5 years, EXO returns to Singapore for their 5th concert tour ‘EXO PLANET #5 – EXplOration’. Filling up Singapore Indoor Stadium to the brim on 15 September 2019, EXO proves their standing as one of K-pop’s top-tier boy groups. This tour also marks the group’s fourth consecutive year on our sunny shores after their last world tour – EXO PLANET #4 – EℓyXiOn, held in March 2018.

The boys kick off with upbeat tracks like “Tempo”, “Transformer” and “Gravity”. Of course, no concert is complete without solo member performances! Baekhyun is the first one to dish out his sensual solo of “UN Village”. The six members then return to the stage as a group to perform the highly-anticipated “Love Shot”. Much to EXO-L’s excitement, EXO began their first ment. Chanyeol expressed his awe at everyone’s passionate chants during Baekhyun’s solo; while Suho added “Last night I visited the Merlion Park, it was so beautiful…” and ending off with an unexpected cheeky “…like you”!

Next up on the setlist was “Monster” and “Oasis”, followed by a chain of solo performances. Suho was the second solo member to dominate the stage with “Been Through”. The leader’s performance was met with overwhelming screams from fans as he removed his shirt, showing his impressive well-built figure!

Things went a little slower when Chen churned out a soulful “Lights Out”, tugging at fans’ heartstrings as one of the main vocalists of the group. The hip-hop duo Sehun and Chanyeol then hyped up the stage with their rap performances – “What A Life” and “Closer To You”.

EXO unites again with “Falling For You”, “Wait” and “Power”, not forgetting fanservice like throwing signed balls to the crowd! Kai also commanded everyone’s attention during his solo “Confession”, serving his powerful stage presence as the main dancer.

Moving on, the group brought the atmosphere to its peak with a medley of their top hits – “Growl”, “Overdose” and “Call Me Baby”. Despite being the second half of the show, the fan chants never quietened even for a moment. After a sweet VCR, the boys concluded the concert with an encore of “Unfair” and “On The Snow”. Each member took turns to express their gratitude towards Singapore EXO-Ls, who have been awaiting eagerly for the past 1.5 years.

While Sehun admitted his body was not in the best condition; he received encouragement from the fans. He also added they really love chilli crab, and couldn’t wait to have more! Chen joked that he will consider showing his thighs next time; and Kai was excited to return and perform more days. Attentive Suho noticed some fans were crying; and gently said “Don’t cry, baby”. The night came to a close with an emotional “Smile On My Face”. 

With an impressive 25-song setlist, EXO ended fans’ weekend on a high note. The stage lighting & effects was undeniably one of the main highlights; making the whole watching experience even more remarkable. Even with only six members this time, the group still delivered a power-packed show for EXO-Ls, without missing an inch of effort.
