GFriend graced Singapore on 20 July 2019 for their 2019 GFriend Asia Tour – Go Go Gfriend. Performing a jam-packed 2.5 hour show at The Star Theatre, it made Singapore Buddies’ 3- year wait all worth it.

In sweet, pastel-colored outfits, the ladies were off to a bright start with Me Gustas Tu, Life Is A Party and Vacation. They then greeted Buddies with their first ment, saying that they’re surprised to see this many people.

The former unit performed Monday Blues; while the latter performed Shy Boy, also revealing that these two songs were supposed to be part of their debut tracks. While most Buddies are used to seeing GFriend performing in full force, this segment definitely serves as a refreshing moment for the fans as they got to know more about the girls.

While we thought the funny segment was over, GFriend continued to delight Buddies with yet another laughter-inducing VCR – a creative concept of “Infinity War”! Just like how the title sounds, each member was good at one skill, and had to battle one another. After sending everyone into laughter, the girls came back onstage in classy black outfits and performed tracks like Only 1, L.U.V, Flower Garden, and even a ballad version of Rough.

Being a good leader, Sowon even went backstage to make a special request to perform their latest comeback – Fever, as it wasn’t included in their original setlist. The group ended up doing an impromptu performance without its background music, blowing everyone’s minds away. They then lit the stage once again with one of their biggest hits, Navillera.

Of course, the girls aren’t leaving without an encore. The atmosphere became emotional as the VCR, put together by Singapore Buddies, left GFriend and some fans in tears. Concluding the beautiful moment, the idol group and fans even sang together, before ending the concert with Compass.

Filled with several highlights and powerful performances, Go Go GFriend left a beautiful memory for Singapore Buddies’. We definitely look forward to the girls visiting our shores again!
